Carnforth Winter Lights

Each December Carnforth and District Chamber of Trade light up the centre of the town with Christmas trees on the shops and lighting up the surrounding area with festive illuminations.

Carnforth Town Council provides the Christmas tree in the Memorial Gardens. The rest of the lighting is provided by the Chamber of Trade and put up by volunteers from its members.

The first Wednesday in December is the grand switch on of the lights. With a fun fair, musical entertainment, stalls. Father Christmas and his elf can be visited by children in his grotto for a small fee and every child gets a gift. Children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or carer.

Thanks to everyone who gives up their time to make this an annual success.
